Welcome, Thank you for volunteering!
The children and youth of UUFF are lucky to have you. The gift of your time and caring is invaluable to our young people.
Each year, we depend on volunteers like you to inspire the minds and grow the souls of our children. On this site, you'll find all the nuts and bolts info you need to get started as an RE leader, plus some resources if you'd like to find more in-depth information.
Please take the time to look through this information. This is a new way for us to do teacher training and I hope to make it more in depth as the years progress.
This is a paragraph! Here's how you make a link:
Some basics
- Service starts at 10:30
- There is generally announcments, opening words, and a hymn before the childrens story and then the kids are sung out.
- Most sundays we will break into three groups, the screech owls (littles - kinder) staying upstairs in the blue room The snowy owls (early - mid elementry) downstairs in the main R.E. room, and our great horned owls (upper elementry - jr high) in the kurt vonugut room.
- Service ends at roughly 11:30. Children downstairs are picked up by parents shortly after. Children in the blue room typically stay 15-30 minutes longer so parents can enjoy a bit of coffee before pickup
A note about the classes. These grade ranges are not set in stone. Where one 4th grader may be ready to join the great horned owls another may not be. The system is fluid and may also change on any given sunday, esspecially if the child has a older/younger sibling in another class.
Great Horned Owls.
